About the Journal

JJIC: Journalum Juris Islamicum Contemporaneum is an open access, peer-reviewed journal. Our main objective is to disseminate contemporary articles resulting from research and thinking by academics, researchers, and practitioners in various fields of contemporary law with an Islamic law approach. This journal is published three times a year in February, June, and October by the Darul Qur'an Afandi Lamongan Foundation and was first published in October 2025. JJIC: Journalum Juris Islamicum Contemporanium is an Islamic law journal published by the Darul Qur'an Afandi Foundation that publishes scientific articles on various aspects of contemporary law with an Islamic legal studies approach. This edition has been available online since October 9, 2025, featuring 8 articles on Islamic legal studies in the fields of criminal law, human rights law, economic law, traffic law, zakat law, AI law, environmental law, and administrative law. All articles in this edition were written or co-authored by 26 authors from three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe), representing 17 affiliations and 6 countries: Indonesia, Australia, Egypt, Turkey, Russia and United Kingdom.
